William Shakespeare said in A Midsummer Night's Dream that ' the course of true love never did run smooth.' I think this is why I like this play because being in love makes you crazy. The characters in this play certainly display all sorts of odd behaviors and get into some very amusing agruments like the one betwen Hermia and Helena which makes it fun to read. Also the play has magical elements of fairies , magic potions, and backfiring love spells which are very funny. I also enjoyed the town characters who are trying to become actors and aren't very good at it. My favorite character is Puck because he seems to live for fun and practical jokes.
