EPISODE 6 - SEASON FINALE

Monday 1st March 2010 at 11pm ET/PT sees the season finale of La La Land

Mr Shirley Ghostman

Brendan Allen and Alan Thicke

EPISODE 6 Synopsis fromLA LA LAND OFFICIAL SHOWTIME PAGE:

"As six weeks in LA come to an end, Brendan focuses on the custody battle of his estranged son Jack; Shirley attempts to rid himself of the dead celebrity spirits that have controlled his life since he was a child; and Gary is set to collaborate on a short-film with a cult film director.

The stakes for each of them have never been higher, but nothing goes quite according to plan. Desperate for cash to pay his attorney’s fees, Brendan takes his first paying job in LA filming an interview with 1980's TV star Alan Thicke – however it’s not long before the police are called. In Glendale, Shirley's exorcism gets out of control when the spirits of Princess Diana and Colonel Sanders refuse to leave his body. And back in central LA, Gary and the director are soon arguing about whether they should pursue Gary's plan to speculate the production budget on lottery scratch-cards.

By the end of this tumultuous day, Gary, Shirley and Brendan's lives have changed forever."

Gary - "Don't overestimate me man"

ep 1&6 are gary's best episodes
all the rest belong to shirley.
elaine was pretty awesome too.
im glad a 2nd series looks possible!
i can imagine shirley working at a homeless sanctuary and getting infatuated with some dirty hobo, leading him astray.

thank you for the comment tom - Shirley's hotline in ep4 (and Elaine as you say)and Shirley's appearance at the psychic showcase in ep.5 are some of my highlights.

Gary in ep4 shadowing Neil Leeds - bizarre but brilliant :D

look forward to hearing more comments

i loved high spirits so watched this on the strength of that. there's something enchanting about the character gary though, just happy with no malice. when he took over the film at the end that was fuckin top and i wish we got to see the finished article.
